My Word Cloud
My paper is about a study that investigates one-on-one student-teacher interaction. In the study, two teachers tutor 10 different students in one-on-one sessions regarding logarithms. Each session is 60-minutes which includes a 10-minute pre- and post-test. The sessions are recorded via video cameras and are analyzed for student and teacher behaviors such as eye gaze, gesture and speech. To code the behaviors, the videos of the sessions are uploaded into ELAN, a video interface that allows for multimodal coding. Student and teacher speech were transcribed using a the CHILDES system and also uploaded into ELAN.
From the main words that stand out in the cloud, it suggests that the paper is about logarithms, teachers, students and videos. These would be the main words that could be used to organize the paper into a research topic or category. There were also words that stood out in cloud that suggests the type of paper that was written. For example, words such as participants, procedures and investigation tells the reader that the paper might be a research abstract or article. Being new to Word-Cloud, I am curious if the size of the word corresponds to the frequency of usage (e.g., the bigger the word the more often the word is used in the paper).
